Finalists in Sweden’s Security Awards 2017

October 12th 2017

The finalists for Sweden’s prestigious Security Awards for 2017 have been released and Trygve is among the nominees.

Sweden’s Security Industry presents awards to courageous, dedicated and passionate employees and companies who carry out outstanding work in the fields of safety.

Trygve and the company behind it, United Eyes AB, are among the nominees in two categories:

Commercial safety venture of the year

Nominee: Trygve - an app developed by United Eyes.

The Commercial Safety Venture of the year award celebrates an effort that makes a difference to society, excelling in its segment and has encouraged customer spending to boost to new levels.

"By encouraging members of society to help, support and care for each other, Trygve actively seeks to reduce crime and enhance the response to emergency incidents. Trygve’s basic principle is based on collaboration, successfully executed by the more than 55,000 users. The technology now includes features for organisations and integrations with home and shop alarm systems. In Trygve, the ambition is that help should not be more than two minutes away."

Public Sector project of the year

Nominee: Fjällsäkerhetsappen – an app by the Swedish Agency for Safety & Health (Mountain Safety) and United Eyes.

This award acknowledges new projects in a public context that focuses on security. It can be won by a place, a company or a movement and must have shown clear positive results.

"Fjällsäkerhetsappen was created to increase individual safety in the Swedish Mountain Ranges. The app was designed in close cooperation with the Swedish Police, based on classic and proven mountain safety tools, packaged in a contemporary format. The launch of the app proved how great the need was, with over 10,000 users signing up one month after the launch. The app has been considered innovative, creative and market-oriented."

The winners will be announced during the annual Security Awards evening on October 26 in Stockholm.
